iPhone 4 - not connecting to Wifi - please help!
I jailbroke my iPhone 4 last fall (with limera1n) and just recently ran into some wifi problems. When I go to settings I can choose a wifi signal, type in the password, and it puts the little checkmark next to is as if I'm connected to it...but on the status bar it still says I'm using a 3G connection. The only way to get it to display the wifi signal bars on the status bar is to do a hard reset.
I'm running 4.1 (8b117) baseband 01.59.00. The cydia packages I have installed are below. Asterisked packages are ones I don't remember installing, so I assume they piggy back on other things I installed or they came with the jailbreaking.
Activator
Airplane SBSettings
AppStore Update Size
*APT 0.7 HTTPS Method
*BigBoss's Source
Click2Call
CyDelete
*Cydia Community Source
*Dev-Team
Docs
Five Icon Dock
Five Icon Switcher
Five Column Springboard
FolderEnhancer
Icon Renamer
*IntelliStatusBarIcons
MakeItMine
*ModMyi.com
MultiIcon Mover
My3G
MyWi
*MyWi OnDemand
Poof
Pull to refresh for email
Remove Background
*Saurik's Source
SBSettings
*SBSettings Toggles
Spring Flash
*ZodTTD's Source
If anyone knows if any of these are the problem please let me know. I'm thinking about upgrading to 4.2 and simply rejailbreaking assuming that will fix it, but I'd like to know what the root of the problem is should I encounter it again.

I had this problem on my iPhone 3GS a few weeks back. First thing you need to do is go into settings an reset ONLY network settings..reboot and see if that fixes the problem. If not, then I recommend take it to the apple store where they'll provide you with a new one. But you should make sure it has warranty but I think all iPhone 4s have warranty until July I believe. But you should update to 4.2.1 first on iTunes to make sure the apple people don't realize it's jailbroken.

Cool...I think that did it. Thanks a ton.
I didn't know you could reset individual settings...I was hesitant to completely restore the phone because I didn't want to rejailbreak and install all my cydia packages.

Erg...it worked for a few days, now it's doing it again and resetting network settings ain't helping. I'm trying a hard reset as I post this...hopefully that along with resetting the network settings will help.
If that doesn't work I guess this weekend I'll just upgrade to 4.2 and rejailbreak. Hopefully that will do the trick.
