Hello guys im new to this site.

Let me tell you my problem. My brother in law gave me a jail broken iphone 3g with ipad base band firm ware 4.1

What i tried to do is restore on iTunes(10.1.2.17) to firmware 4.2.1 it was at it pretty good but towards the end iTunes gave me error 1015. The iphone is not stuck on the screen with the USB logo and iTunes icon.

I have tried to use redSnow, SnowBreeze, limerain,blackrain, greenpoison and nothing works. Maybe im not using them right? which one is better to use for my problem?

Maybe i need pwnage tool but when i go to there website the download link gives me a .DMG file not and an .exe file

Does anyone have a directlink to download Pwnage tool as a .exe instead of going through a torrent?

I am using a PC on Windows 7.

What do i need? custom firmware?
can i have a link to firmware or custom firmware to fix this problem please?

On theses steps:
1: a)Download the 4.1 firmware for your device.
b)Open tiny umbrella and start TSS server
c)Shift-click restore to 4.1
d)When you get 1015 error use tiny umbrella or recboot to exit recovery
e)Do what you need to do to jailbreak or activate depending on if you have a official sim to activate or not.

I get to step C and click restore to 4.1 iTunes gives me error:
The iphone "iphone" could not be restored because the firmware file is not compatible

So i downloaded:
iPhone1,2_3.1.3_7E18_Restore
iPhone1,2_4.1_8B117_Restore
iPhone1,2_4.2.1_8C148_Restore
iPhone1,2_4.2.1_8C148_Custom_Restore
iPhone1,2_4.1_8B117_Custom_Restore
and even used snow breeze to make sn0wbreeze_iPhone 3G-4.2.1

Used redsnow to put it in DFU mode but get the samd stupid message on iTunes:
The iphone "iphone" could not be restored because the firmware file is not compatible

I also tied using redsnow to jailbreak but since it needs to boot twice it only boots once manual and then the second time it freezes on waiting for iphone to boot.
Help please i have been at this for hours and nothing.

Are you sure you have a iPhone 3G and not a 3GS?
