    Default 4.0.1 running slow!

Hi, im currently on firmware 4.0.1 baseband 05.13.04 on my 3GS

My problem is that it seems to be running really slow and often the springboard crashes and apps just turn black and return to the springboard when i try to load them?

Could anyone recommend me a firmware i could update to that would help my situation, one that i would still be able to jailbreak and UNLOCK.

    Thank you!

    P.s on cydia it says i have my 3.1.3, 4.0, 4.0.1, 4.0.2, 4.1, 4.2.1+ SHSH hashes

You can use either pwnagetool(mac) or sn0wbreeze(windows) to help you update without changing the baseband.

You have a 3GS, so 4.1 or 4.2.1 would be fine. Here is a link to download stock firmwares.

Do NOT restore to either 4.1 stock or 4.2.1 stock--they'll both upgrade your baseband to a non-unlockable one.

I'd strongly recommend a custom firmware of either 4.1 or 4.2.1 (4.2.1 perhaps simply because it's a bit newer, more features, still untethered jailbreak).

Download PwnageTool and make your own custom firmware (sn0wbreeze, though will technically work, isn't recommended). If you are not on a Mac and need a custom firmware, please ask via Private Message and I'll link you to one.
