Unhappy iPhone 4 not able to restore (6)

hey everyone, I'm having a problem with restoring my iPhone after having several software issues and tried to go vanilla for some time to see if JB was the reason.

However it is impossible for me to restore with my computer. i tried restarting itunes, I tried re-downloading the file, i tried making a new windows account, i tried to restore in a DFU mode, everything possible. I googled up the error code 6 i got every time and i got various results, not a single one solving my issue.

When i try to restore, the process starts, then around halfway through it stops and kind of restarts. then i get the error and try to repeat.
Also, when I start itunes i get an error that says "CProgram Files\Quicktime\QTSystem\QuicktimeMPEG.qtx isn't designed to run on wiundows or it's buggy, reinstall blah blah. however the thing runs more or less normally, so i just let it be.
Might this be linked? I think not, but who knows.
I am running W7 Enterprise 32bit with all admin privs, hope that helps.
    Thanks in advance!

Thinking that the error code is not the issue, since it has to do with Quicktime... Try to restore just as you did. Then download RecBoot from RecBoot.zip and install and click "Exit Recovery Mode". This may do the trick. After you try it, post back and let us know how it goes.

    Good Luck!

WHoaaa, thanks for the lightning fast reply.
However I found out it was because of my security system being so tight up it didn't let a single packet through when it came to iTunes restoring.
Switched it off, worked like a charm.
Thanks anyway, hope this will help anyone in the future.

Haha I just happened to be online when I saw it posted
And with the security system, oh yeah. I know that feeling. They won't work when you need them to, and they work when you don't want them to.

Hope my advice at least helps everyone else!
