I jailbroke my iphone 3G in the latter part of my contract. I switched to verizon and am now wanting to sell it. When I went to erase all content and settings it would not re-boot.

Also since coincidences do not exist, when i plug my iphone in, it says that the USB Device could not be recognized. So I scoured the internet hoping for an easy do-it-yourself answer and found none that worked. Things ive tried:
Reinstalling Apple Device Service ( Could not find it in the device manager)
Updating driver on the "Unknown Device" (Did not work, said it had the up to date driver installed already)
Im pretty sure it has something to do with not being able to restore and/or is a problem i will have to address next.

Any help would be appreciated =)
