Correct steps to upgrade from 4.0.1 to 4.2.1?

Hello all,

Was hoping someone confirm if I have my steps correct.

Using Tiny Umbrella I was able to restore my I-phone 4 back to version 4.0.1 with the FW at 01.59.00.

I want to upgrade the phone to 4.2.1. Here is what I hope are the correct steps:

1. Use Redsn0w to get my phone into DFU mode.
2. Download the official 4.2.1 firmware and follow Redsn0w's instructions.
3. Open I-tunes and click on shift + restore and then chose the Custom firmware 4.2.1 file.

At this point I am confused. Is my my jail broken now? Or do I need to continue onto green p0ison to truly unlock the phone?

Any additional instructions would be appreciated.

No, Apple close that loop hole, your method only work with 4.1 , With 4.2.1 you will stuck at DFU mode.

You need to download Custom firmware 4.2.1 firmware. Grab your SHSH blob for 4.2.1 now, few more days than you can't.
