Upgrade jailbreak firmware

So a few days ago I installed greenpois0n and it is working perfectly. My question is if there is a new jailbreak software update, how do I update it? Do I just restore my iPhone and just jail break again? I tried downloading the new firmware to my mac and using greenpois0n and putting my iPhone in DU mode it is not being seen by their software. Thanks for any help.

Not understanding what you are trying to do. I thought you are already jailbroken.

Ok so I have a jailbroken iPhone that is running the version of RC5. Greenpois0n has come out with version RC6. How do I update my jailbroken software to the RC6 version?

Ah ok, you just need to run the new version just like you did when you initially jailbroke before. That version should fix you iBooks.

I have tried that but for some reason the greenpois0n app never detects the DU mode on the iPhone. I have noticed this issue only when you are trying to connect it with an already jailbroken iPhone. Thoughts?

You could always restore the iPhone via iTunes to the stock os and then run GP rc6 fresh.

You shouldn't have any issues with greenpoison detecting DFU if you are entering it correctly.
