    Default Jailbreak help please! :)

First of all - I have no clue. At all. So please ignore any stupid question that might come, and all help is much much appreciated!!

I have an iPhone 3Gs, and had it jailbroken with spirit last year (got help with that btw), but after I had to restore my iPhone in iTunes just recently that jailbreak is obviously gone..

I want to jailbreak it again with a non tethered jailbreak preferably, so can anyone tell me how to, and which jailbreak to use?

The 'about' in my iPhone says as follows:
    version: 4.2.1 (8C148a)
    modem firmware: 05.15.04

    thanks !

Unlocked.. as in being able to use whatever phone carrier I want right?

    Then my iPhone's already unlocked.

This won't change if I jailbreak it would it?!?

Yes, if you see your carrier now, you are atleast unlock to your carrier. If you have a factory unlock, you will be able to use any GSM sim card on this iphone.
There is another unlock called software unnlocked, it uses a tool to unlock your Baseband but your current bb cannot be unlocked by the current tool.
