I need to restore but first... can someone clarify a few things?

I don't know what happened - I was editing files with Hexadecimal edit for a game and no I didn't mistakenely replace an application or what not but my stock apple Applications are missing (Contacts, Appstore, Calculator) and Cydia went missing.

All my tweaks, winterboard etc were still there but Cydia and the other Apple applications were missing. No restrictions were on, I checked, I also rebooted twice. I checked with iphone Explorer, Cydia was not listed in my applications - I also tried spotlight and no such luck.

Limera1n was still on my phone, so I just reinstalled Cydia from there. However, I am still missing my Appstore and the other good applications and Cydia does NOT list what I had currently installed. For example, It says i do not have winterboard installed which I clearly do..

So at this point, I realize I have to restore/jailbreak (I'm on iphone 4.1 JB) but I have NO IDEA what I downloaded as tweaks from Cydia (Such as 5-column SB) Is there ANY way to show my tweaks and what I had previously downloaded?

No I cannot restore via itunes either..

And I'm out of the loop, but can I still jailbreak 4.1? do I have to have an ispw?
(I'm 4.1 Version 8B117, Modem Firmware: 02.10.04)
