Downgrade iPhone 3G
Evening,
I have been trying to downgrade my iPhone 3G to the firmware 3.1.3. The baseband of my handset is 05.15.04. The current firmware is 4.2.1. I am using Windows 7 and can not get the handset out of recovery mode and get the iTunes error 1015. I have used RecBoot and iRecovery but nothing seems to be working. Any help much appreciated.
Cheers.

If its a 3g you should be able to shift+restore to a stock 3.1.3

I have downloaded iReb, done the shift and restore but the error message 1015 has appeared and the phone is in recovery mode is there any way to get it out of recovery mode to complete the downgrade.

Ever since I upgraded to 4.2.1 it has affected my iPhones performance massively. Downgrading has helped the performance issue no end. The only bug bear is you lose some of the nice features like auto caps and in the iPod the song loop is not there. Am I missing something here are they available in 3.1.3?

Caps lock is there on 3.1.3!!
Yea there are some features
the one that I will miss the most is the turn cellelar data off ...I'm on a limited data plan...
