Pros/Cons?

Hello all.

Im new to this site. I have jailbroken an itouch a long time ago but I just go the Verizon iphone and I am considering jailbreaking it.

Can someone give me a general list of pros and cons of doing this?

Im particularly interested in knowing if once I jailbreak, will I be able to perform the regular apple software updates? and, will I be able to un jailbreak if I need to?

You can unjailbreak by restoring the firmware. Yes you will be able to do regular firmware updates but you will lose the jailbreak if you do. As far as a pro to jailbreaking, it really lets you be in control of your device. If you're verizon iPhone 4 is on 4.2.6 you can use greenpois0n rc6 to jailbreak GreenPois0n

The Verizon iPhone is just like a AT&T iPhone just with no SIM.

It's basically like jailbreaking your iPod touch (based on uses)

Pro: you get the wonders of Cydia!

Cons: It will void your warranty (but if you have a problem, you can restore and then take it to apple stock)

If you update your iPhone with Apple your jailbreak will be gone. But you can update.
