New to Jailbreaking

I just jailbreaked my iPhone 4g 4.2.1 on 3 network (uk) with green poison.

And I was just wondering will 3 network find out that I jailbroke?
Would they even care since they are just a service providor?

Is there anything else I should know? (Negative things)?

My calls and messaging seem to work perfectly so far.

There wasn't any report of the carriers finding out of the jailbreak. Also there isn't any sort of jailbreak detecting device in the iPhone. The only way they will find out is if you show them.

There aren't any real cons except it voids your warranty.

@sabik should you ever have to take your iPhone in for service, you can always get rid of the jailbreak by restoring so that your warranty will not be voided.

You can always restore as said above plus the two carriers i have been with dont care when they have seen it on my phone as they are just the service provider and the warranty isnt through them it is through apple

I just jailbreaked for the first time and was wondering can I still sync to iTunes to sync whatever music or apps I downloaded. Also when I sync will iTunes backup any new contacts I added after the jailbreak?

Jailbreak will not hinder you from syncing as normal.

Contacts will be backed up if you sync, you should back them up to your computer via the info tab in iTunes in case you ever need to restore and have to set up as new instead of restoring from back up. This will ensure you don't lose contacts.
