Default Cydia crash after 3.1.2 restore + jailbreak (blackrain)

    Hi everybody ,
after an update of several cydia packages my iPhone crashed down. I tried to reboot the device but with no success. Then I had to restore the 3.1.2 via shsh file on cydia server. I jailbroke and installed cydia. But when trying to load data or refresh packages cydia crashes . I read different methods to solve cydia crashes with openssh or similar but none of them suits my case.
I hope some of you have a solution for this. That is driving me crazy.
    Thank you very much

Are you sure it is going to work ?
I read some posts about people who installed cydia with redsnow and cydia got stuck on loading data ..
It would be nice if you could be more precise.
    Thank you very much

restoring to 3.1.3 and using redsn0w pointed at 3.1.2 is a good bet for the devices below (exuding 3GS which can handle 4.x FINE).

    Yes of course but....

    iPhone 2G, iphone 3G, iphone 3GS?

and you don't want to go to ios 4.x? honestly it runs great on my girlfriends 3GS...

you should though, if you don't wish to go to ios 4.x, upgrade to ios 3.1.3 then point redsm0w at ios 3.1.2 and you'll have a jailbreak.

Hopefully Cydia will work as well (it should...)
