Using greenpois0n for the 4.2.1 iphone4
Hey guys,
I was reading up on jail breaking and I have decided that it's something that I will like to do to my iphone4.
I have some concerns though.
1) Will I be able to shut down and restart my iphone4 after I jailbreak it? I keep reading about tethering and untherthing I don't get whats what and which one will GP do for me?
2)Can I still buy apps from the regular apple app store?
3)I have also read that battery life is really bad after JB is this true?
Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance and I look forward to hearing from you.

I have a 3GS 4.2.1 which I jailbroke untethered through GP. I can still shut down & restart ok. I've had no probs buying from iTunes & my phone syncs & backs up as normal when connected to iTunes. And IMHO the battery life on an iPhone is poor PERIOD. So just enjoy the freedom.

GP will jail break it UNTETHERED? and is that better than TETHERED?

If your new to Jailbreaking, once you've jailbroke your phone go to Cydia & install these:
Cydia/Sources/Edit/Add
Hackulo.us
Winterboard
**********
SBSettings
If your an Old hand you'll already know about them.
Unlocking sounds a but more complicated. Check these forums & youtube.Last edited by nat750; 02-20-2011 at 12:27 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

1. Greenpoison performs a tethered jailbreak whereas redsnow performs untethered. You are good to use green poison. The difference between tethered and untethered is that tethered jailbroken iphones can be restarted without losing jailbreak while untethered jailbroken iphones will have to be connected to the pc again to activate jailbreak again.
This whole statement is wrong , dude
2. Yes u can still buy apps from app store without any problem. You can find all those apps free from ********** ######################.. But in order to make them work u need to install ############# from cydia..i am sure you will find a way to install it..
MAKE SURE YOU DON'T POST ANYMORE WAREZLast edited by iYeow; 02-20-2011 at 06:53 PM.

Ganich statement is incorrect. tethered means you need a computer to boot it up everytime you power down. The rest you can figure out. He is in total violation to rules and regulation here. Posting of Warez and stealing of apps.
