I want to preserve baseband in case there is an unlock for 05.14. I want to wait for a better unlock which doesn't require me to go to baseband 06.15. So snowbreeze 2.02 will preserve my baseband?

Like I said, there's no point in preserving the baseband. It already isn't unlockable. If they were to release an unlock it wouldn't just be for that one. They are waiting for new firmwares to drop for a reason so that they can save the exploit for the new baseband. They wouldn't be waiting if they wanted to only unlock the old baseband you have.

And Sn0wbreeze is awful on iPhone 3G. It doesn't even work half the time. If you're so persistent on preserving that baseband, find a custom fw made by PwnageTool online and restore to that.

What would happen if I update by accident on itunes with a Jialbroken iphone?

It would update the phone to the latest firmware and restore the phone to factory settings.

You know Annie I right!! Don't worrie about saving the bb because dev team is working on the unlock for the new bb that comes with 4.2.1. Once apple release the 4.3 u may see an unlock for the new bb. I just don't think they are wasting anymore time on it ..... Think about this..... Focus on unlock for new/latest bb once that is accomplish everybody can update to 4.2.1 (even you) and then jb & unlock is for everybody!!! Make any sense??

hi annie, i'm in the process of create custom fw 4.2.1 i have sb 2.2. in place ios 4.2.1 download open sb and click on browse and it verify the 4.2.1 but it failed what could be the problem?

hi annie, you're my last hope, i creater cfw 4,2,1 via sb 2.2 everything was going fine near the end i got error code 21, x98car say its dfu problum that i didn't put it in DFU correctly. the phone is stuck on itune logo and the plug i can't shut it off to put it in DFU, x98car say to use redsnow 0.0.6rc8 to put phone in DFU so i open rs browse point to stock 4.2.1 in order to put phone in DFU and only then i point to the cfw i created. thats what x98car recommended well i started to do that after i browsed to stock 4.2.1 new screen poped up and ask if phone was a newer fixed model, and its by the serial# but i can't get to setting now gives an *caution: If you have a newer model and you don't correctly identify it here, you will likely need to do a full official restore to fix the mistake, losing any unsynced data. what should i do????
