Why would you want to do that, just hide it if you don't want it to be seen.

Oh wow. I completely forgot about the hide icons in sbsettings. I was really trying to figure out how to unlock offline like spookyET shows in this blog Summer Has CreamSn0w - 140 Characters Are Not Enough But I dont have a mac and sometimes an unlock requires the ipad baseband so I figured why not ask how to only delete cydia.

Install the workstation and also you need the OSX for Vmware to bootup. Get the latest version of vmware. Not that difficult, but once setup , it works wonders, except you need a dual core machine, when you are running Vmware, one core will be used for this and the other core will be used for pc. Slow but works.
Once Vmware is not running, you pc will run at dual core again.

So I'll need vmware workstation, a regular copy of OSX? My laptop is dual-core. How would I operate vmware, would I open on boot or would I boot normally and open from pc. Sorry if the questions seem elementary.

You need osx for vmware. You boot your pc first, then choose the vmware icon on your desktop.
After that you choose the osx where you have placed it , you can watch youtube to learn more.

I couldn't get DFU mode to work in Workstation 7, but creating the firmware worked great. Afterwards i used Win7 to enter DFU mode.

Thank you iYeow, I will look into getting vmware in the morning.
@ captainchaos, I saw you mentioned that in this thread New Redsn0w to kill off snowbreeze 2.2 So once you used pt to create the cfw you used iReb or redsn0w to enter dfu mode?

snowbreeze has an advantage of allow custom boots like GP, but PT actully fixies the book issue and is way way more reliable...
