Default LockBackground, Dock, and Status Bar problems

I jailbroke my ipod a few days ago and noticed a problem. I downloaded several themes and on all themes the Dock wouldn't show up it would be the original dock that comes with the ipod, the status bar wouldn't change, and the LockBackground wouldn't change. I figured out how I can change the LockBackground manually with iFile, but the status bar and dock still wont work. I even made my own theme and still nothing. I have an itouch 3g MC model. I dont know if that could be the problem, because I remember a couple years ago when I jailbroke my itouch with blackra1n it worked fine. I would truly appreciate it if someone could help =)

most themes are made for ios 2-3, not ios 4 (there are lots for ios 4 though!). ios was a major jump for apple and jailbreakers alike (same with 4.0-4.2.1).

not every theme you find on cydia with your os anymore because they haven't been updated.

As for you manually trying to change it, they might have migrated elsewhere or you just aren't doing it right...(3.x allowed keyboard modding, 4.x kinda sorta not really maybe ergh does..)

Thank you very much =) You wouldn't happen to have the name of a theme for ios 4 so I can test it out?

Not off the top of my head, but:

1 - Launch Cydia and go to the "Manage" tab in the menu
2 - Click on "Sources" then "Edit" and "Add"
    3 - Insert our repo url : http://www.themeitapp.com/repo

That's it! Go back to the "Changes" tab, download Theme it.app and start enjoying great themes.

you can get a theme based appstore type thing, full of loads of great themes for ios 4.x. =-)

also just typing in ios 4 on cydia tends to bring them up =p
