Problem: When attempting to restore phone to custom firmware error 1600 is encountered. Does anyone have a consistent or justified solution to this problem? Restoring in regular mode is not an immediate option nor do I believe this would help. The error was achieved in DFU mode with firmware made in Pwnage Tool.

Details:
-This phone has been jail-broken before but due to inability to sink back up with machine(BC: OS Reinstall) and erratic iPod behavior I have chosen to redo the whole process.

-The original jail break was to 4.0 but the new goal is 4.2.

-Similar problems occurred during the original jailbreak. I gave up and came back to the phone about a month later, tried it with the same cable and firmware and things worked perfectly. The phone was out of battery and un-bootable at the start of round 2.
