before i jb iphone 3g 4.2 do i upgrade before or while im jailbreaking, cause it says to hold shift & hit restore before running redsnow??

I have jailbroken 100+ times. I would know. That is if you want to restore. Al you want is to jailbreak.

but it doesnt say if i should upgrade/restore before or while im in the process of jb.

Do you just wanna try? It'll take one minute and that is it. If it works on a 2g ipod touch it should work on a 3g. I will pull out my old 3g if you want and try it. Will that make you happy.
