I am assuming that it is the same error that I am getting
When sn0wbreeze 2.2r2 is making the custom IPSW, I get
sn0wbreeze has failed...
sn0wbreeze has failed to create your custom IPSW.
Please try again.
Conversion from String "" to type 'Integer' is not valid.

make sure your custom firmware does not include the ipad baseband again, or it will fail every time. just make a regular custom firmware with no baseband update.

It was the v2 of 2.2 that was making my error. I upgraded to 2.2 final and it all worked perfect.

Hi, to restore iPhone 3G with iPad baseband do the following,
Download redsn0w 0.9.6 b5/6
Download official 3G 4.2.1 fw,
And download custom fw 3G 4.2.1
Now open redsn0w, and click browse, select the stock/official fw file, and click next,
Now you get to check a few things, here check the "just enter pwned dfu mode now"
Click next and follow instructions, to put ur iPhone onto dfu mode.. Let redsnow complete,
Now open iTunes (leave your iPhone connected to USB cable), and press "shift" on ur keyboard and click restore at the same time, now browse and select the custom fw file, and iTunes should let you restore successfully...
This works for error 1015 swell...
Good luck
You can google all the downloads needed,,

How to Use Sn0wbreeze 2.2 for iOS 4.2.1 Jailbreak on Windows [Untethered] | Jaxov
That's a tutorial to give you the basic steps involved. You need to make a custom 4.2.1. Latest itunes is fine to have, you need a minimum of the one in that article. Your iPhone firmware will start iPhone1,2 for iPhone 3G.

You have to restore to a custom firmware because you have 6.15 baseband. You cannot simply update. That means everything gets erased. You should have a backup in iTunes (assuming you have synced the phone before) that you can restore to to bring back all your stuff.

If you back it up then restore from that backup after the custom firmware restore then all your stuff will be put back on it. So make sure to do a backup first before doing anything else.
What is the file name of the firmware you downloaded already?
