Hi. I've done a lottttt of searching! Looking for some help if anyones got any for my problem. I doo know my way around the 3g and 3gs but this problem has been a bigggg pickle

Here is my problem.

I have a 3GS NEWBOOT I got it from someone with 4.2.1 already on it

I wanted a fresh install of 4.2.1 so I got the ispw and did that. everything went fine.

Then I tried to jailbreak using RedSn0w 0.9.6b6 (latest not sure if i got the ver right)

I just for a moment ticked the upgrade base band button then I regret it cuz I know the repercussions from before. So with upgrade baseband unticked I went ahead and ran the jail break.

Well to my surprise RedSn0w started looking for the baseband server and then on the phone as the pineapple came up it said upgrading baseband please wait.

I was like **** I didn't want to update that but oh well gps lost.. unlockable phone...But then to my surprise the jailbreak froze and the phone reboot.. As it reboot tho the apple logo would just come up then reboot and into recovery


So I tried the stock 4.2.1 firmware again and well I knew that wouldnt work since I knew the baseband warnings and the need for custom firmware.


Here is what i've done so far.

I've tried this with 3 custom firmwares 1 I made myself. 1 from mega uploads and one from the pirates bay. ALL FAIL WITH ERROR 29



I boot in pwn dfu
I shift install 4.2.1 CFW
Error 29
I attempt install cydia (Freezes the first time on insalling activation bundles)
I attempt again it installs
Apple logo comes 3min later it reboots
I run redsnow Teather only. Pinapple comes 3 min later phone reboots.
100's of times i've tried OFW 4.2.1 on PDUF failes 29 then tried pdfw then CFW then jailbreak FAIL. Tried Pdfu then boot tethered with all fw itterations FAIL

All fail with 29



Did the failed jailbreak attempt the first time fudge up my baseband? How can i reinstall just the baseband? or check its validity.

Is there a CFW for 4.2.1 with the 06.15 installed and not installed? NBR and OBR for 3gs?

Man I hope someone knows!
