Just the other night I was having problems with my Facetime ending call after 2 seconds on intitilizing the set up. It would never allow the Facetime call to go through. When trying to have someone else Facetime me and see if I can connect that way it would kill the call.
So I tried this first which didn't work:
Settings -> Phone -> Facetime (turn off) -> Hard Reboot (Holding Sleep & Home button past the (slide to turn off) until it did a hard shut down) and rebooted the phone, I then went back into, Settings -> Phone -> Facetime (turn on) and it would sit there saying "waiting on activation" and would eventually fault out and turn back off.
I do not have an unlocked phone and my service provider is AT&T, this wasn't a problem anybody else had that I could find. The only people experiencing this problem without this fixing it were people who had T-Mobile and were trying to use MiTime which is not the fix for me since I am on AT&T and my phone is not unlocked.
After hours of research and messing around with setting I finally found the cure, hopefully someone else will find this useful and not be stranded looking for the cure forever like I was.
I had to go into SBSettings (if you do not have it, go into Cydia and download it). The way you access SBSettings incase you don't know is you take your finger where the signal metere/bar is and swipe across the screen to the other side and it'll activate the program.
Once that pop opens, select on the option on the bottom left and click on more. It will open up the program.
Once the program is open, scroll down to "Mobile Substrate Addons" to open up a menu list of programs to turn "on/off"
Turn off all the programs in this. Once that is done, the phone will automatically reboot. Once this is done, go ahead and go back into
Settings -> Phone -> Facetime "on" and it should activate at this point. Once it has feel free to go back into SBSettings and turn everything back on and your Facetime should be working just fine.
Hope this helps someone else if they are having the same problem.
