Same issues here. Been troubleshooting and one solution that helps eversoslightly is disabling wifi. And data. Which makes cydia and any other app then useless for me. Just a temp. solution that is undoable for me. But then again. I tried many other things to no avail. Restoring to stock was my only solution that worked permanently and is not what I want.

My 3G[S]'s battery would die after 4 hours (having been charged to 100%). After clearing a lot of apps/tweaks, it continued to do so.
So, after a fresh restore to 4.1 (because 4.2.1 has issues with my Phone app), I re-jailbroke my device (and installed a few tweaks). Now it runs better and the battery lasts longer!
I think it has something to do with memory usage and being unable to delete shadow memory.
If you're willing to go through the trouble, I suggest you do it!If I helped you in any way, please click on the

same issue here... looks like ill go back to 4.1 cause this is just stupid how fast it drains
id read somewhere that restoring the phone to new and then jail breaking would. fix the issue.. but have tried that with only slightly better performance... full charge at 7 pm.. its now 10 am and at 25% with minimal use over that time...
in the end is the benifits of 4.2.1 vs 4.1 really worth it . i think not"Jane, get me off this crazy thing !!!!"
