iPhone 4 unlock with ultrasn0w
Hello everyone,
I have a little question for you guys. My friend has an iPhone 4 4.2.1 with the latest baseband. Now I figured out that you couldn't SIM-unlock the latest baseband with ultrasn0w. But if I downgrade to an other version with tinyumbrella, will it also downgrade the baseband? or do I need a custom firmware?
And if so, what version do I need to downgrade to?
Many thanks,
Blacksn0w.
Actually, I'll make it simpler. What I need is to downgrade his baseband 01.59 and do not care if I have to downgrade firmware. How is it possible?Last edited by BlackSn0w; 02-14-2011 at 07:57 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

It is not possible to downgrade your baseband.

Really? So all he can do is to wait until ultrasn0w is updated? Any idea of when it's coming out?

Yes he has to wait. Well there are rumors of 4.3 being released today and the unlock to follow shortly after. Just check back here at MMi every so often, when the unlock is released it will be a slightly popular topic.
