Untethered Jailbreak and unlock of 3GS

Hey everyone, I hope this hasn't been posted elsewhere already... I looked and couldn't find anything...

I'm wondering how I might go about setting up my 3GS on 4.2.1, 05.15.04 with an untethered jailbreak and 06.15.00 baseband so I can unlock my phone? I can't seem to find how to accomplish both. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Run redsnow0.9.6rc8 and choose cydia and iPad bb update. If you have new bootrom, then you need to tether boot . once you have booted up on normal springboard, run GP to get untethered jailbreak

Unlock with ultrasn0w

did rc8 have bluetooth issues? I feel like there were so many RCs that they were hard to keep track of.

just remember there being a bluetooth issue with rc8? was rc8 the last one?

Also, do I need to cook up a custom ipsw or just go with 4.2.1?
