Is there any way without jumping thru hoops to jailbreak my iPhone 4 4.2.1? Also I also heard about the tether exactly what is it ? Thanks

GreenPosion will jailbreak it just fine. Tether means that everytime you reboot the device you have to hook it up to your computer to bring it out of recovery. Untether means you can reboot with no issues at all; like normal.

Use the "Search" function so many threads already about this!!

Yea it will I had my iphone4 since launch day and current firmware 4.2.1 and barely jailbroke my device like 3 days ago. You'll be fine. Trust me u won't regret it. My wife made me jailbreak her phone after she saw all the cool things i was able to do.

Greenposi0n is untethered. It's what u want and the easiest jailbreak for FW 4.2.1
