Can i unblock my 3gs which has been blocked by o2 with a jailbreak?

hi all, i have a 3gs that has been blocked by carrier o2, because it was lost. a few months later i found the phone under the seat of my car!!!
What i want to know is if i jailbreak and unlock with ultrasn0w will this unblock the phone?

I wouldn't think jailbreaking would unblock it from the network as jailbreaking doesn't alter the imei of the phone which is what is blocked. It will be on a list that tells the mobile operators that it's a lost or possible stolen phone and is only reversible by ringing the original provider and going through various security checks to identify the original owner and then maybe decided whether to unblock it or not cos it may have been paid out as an insurance claim for a replacement handset, if that is the case then it's the legal property of the insurers
