Cannot restore back to iOS 4.3b3 after JB
OK, I have an iPhone 4, currently restored back to stock iOS 4.2.1 after being JB'd for a while, trying to restore back to iOS 4.3b3 and cannot get past error code 1611. Have tried most solutions offered in previous posts. Device is registered, etc/hosts files are correct, have done complete un-install and re-install of itunes and deleted all associated files, still no luck. Have also tried different computer, recovery, and DFU mode...frustrated!
Any advice?
Thanks!Last edited by dmsharpe; 02-12-2011 at 05:09 PM.

Yes, have tried those too...seems to primarily be error code 1611 which I've also tried every solution to that as well...

Ya, that error is sometimes a pain to get around. Have you tried doing a fresh restore to 4.2.1 then trying the update?

xcode is available from Apple's developer site. It can be used to restore firmware also.

Not really. In xcode the tool to restore is called organizer.
