pls help

im haveing trouble jailbreaking an iphone 3g. currently its on 4.2.1 after a restore in itunes, but im looking to downgrade it to 4.1 so that i can jailbreak it (as greenpoison soesn't won't for it). i have tried to download firmware, but im not having any luck. all im getting are folders with dmg files, no ipsw files.

pls help im very stuck on this

Aye captain. use Firefox\IE or chrome to download the FW, not safari.

Download from here

do not open it with itunes, click 'save as...'.

also make sure you have the latest version of itunes
