Tweak idea? Check it out
So i figured with this new mobileme service and findmyiphone location services are making it even more posible to locate your device when lost or stolen?
So i figured, to get around this the theif could just turn off the device straigh from the lockscreen. (not sure if location services work without power)
So what about a password to power down or restard. Slide to power down and be prompted for a password to prevent this??
Please let me know what you think.
Cheers

Well they would have to turn it on eventually if they wanna use it... Most iPhone thieves don't think about whether it is being tracked or not, they're just so excited that they found an iPhone and will start trying to crack your password.
Personally, its a good idea but I honestly think the time it takes for the thief to sit there and try to crack my password is the time it takes for me to locate it.

That's not going to happen with the current iPhones we all have.
Maybe the iphone5. I remember reading something about the iphone5 being able to recognize you.

Lol well that's a good point. I would just report my phone lost/stolen and then they can't use it
at least I'll feel good knowing they can't enjoy my iPhone I bought with my hard-earned money.
