Default 4.2.1 Battery drain on at&t

Hi everybody. Recently I upgraded to 4.2.1 from 4.1 once the jailbreak released and I have noticed a significant difference in battery life between the two. I've read a lot about using a SAM to help battery drain but everything I read says it's just for unlocked devices on different carriers. I'm on a legit AT&T plan and am still seeing the battery drain. Is anybody else experiencing this or just me? I DFU restored it about an hour ago and charging it back up to see what happens. By the way the only JB programs I have installed is Cydia, MyWi, BiteSMS, Mobile Terminal, and iFile. Any ideas?

Not too sure why the battery is draining. The SAM method is used after deactivating to help activate phones to be used with unofficial carriers, but since your on AT&T I dont think that would help you. But since you already restored might as well see if that helps first.

Just in case anybody was wondering here's a follow up. After a few days of a re-jailbreak I am seeing massive improvement in battery life. Must have just been a bad jailbreak. Thanks for the help guys

Thanks, Ryan... I had the same issues, with the same phone, etc... and now things seem to have subsided.

Im having the same problem! My battery is awful right now. I updated to 4.2.1 and jailbroke with greepoison also acticated with an official carrier sim then unlcoked with ultrasnow.

Havent really installed much either that i can think would drain the battery, i also have 3G off and brightness down and all the other tips people have suggested...

im thinking about downgraded to and older firmware, any firmware someone could recommend?

    or any more possible solutions?

    Thank guys
