    I can't seem to send SMS or MMS msgs...I did a clean upgrade to 4.2.1 on an ip4 to avoid any issues. Am I the only one with this problem?

    So I figured out what was causing my problem, and I hope it helps someone. I had backed up my sms database and reinstalled it. As soon as I deleted the backup my sms was back up and running. I was disappointed my backup was no more but at least I could txt again. Otherwise, everything seems to work great now.

    I solved the problem, it wouldnt resolve after I reset the network setting however did after I reset all settings.

    1) reset network settings, setting>>general
    2) if that doesnt work just reset all settings, should work!

    The reason my MMS wasn't working is because when I setup my new Verizon iPhone, I restored it to a backup of my old iPhone 3G (so I would have all my pics/texts/etc). The problem that happened is that my old iphone was unlocked on t-mobile and I had to originally modify the com.apple.mms_override.plist file to get MMS to work on t-mobile.

    So, to fix it is pretty simple now that I know what happened:

    you have to SFTP into your phone and go to /var/mobile/Library/Preferences/ and find the file "com.apple.mms_override.plist"

    replace the content of this file with:

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
    <plist version="1.0">
    <dict>
    <key>MMS</key>
    <dict/>
    </dict>
    </plist>

    ---

    Restart your iPhone, and MMS is fixed!
