    Default need help restoring!!

i untethered jailbroke my iphone 4 with greenpoison 4.2.1 several days ago. was working fine until today it froze on the apple/greenpoison logo

i had saved shsh 4.2.1 with tinyumbrella

i've tried restoring through tinyumbrella AND through itunes in dfu mode at least 5 times each. every time i get the error 1030 "this iphone cannot be restored"

how do i get this phone restored?

    thanks!

open tiny umbrella, click on advanced. Deselect the box that says set hosts to cydia on exit. Then close tiny umbrella and try restoring again.

You are on official carrier right?

It happened because tiny umbrella set your hosts to cydia instead of apple. iPhone 4 needs them to be set to apple to restore without getting that error. It is a baseband SHSH error, useful for unlockers, but not for people on official carriers.

Nothing to do with the jailbreak itself.

    got it.

so if i want to unlock my phone (when it becomes available for 4.2.1 with my baseband), what would i have to do?
