Battery Life is horrid after jailbreak... Help Please!
Hello everyone,
I usually get at least a day out of my iphone. I don't really do anything special: no music, video, etc. I get email, text, and play a game or two (Words with friends) but game time is no more than 20 minutes.
I went ahead and jailbroke my iphone 4 with greenpoison and have loaded a number of things on Cydia (winterboard, bitesms, sbsettings, lockinfo, etc) and I was down from 100% down to 15% within 5 hours. Are there certain programs that are known to really eat up battery life? Anything I should look over and check? This kind of battery time eaten up just seems to be way off.
Same thing here. Last night I upgraded to 4.2.1 (I know we're supposed to do clean install but I was being lazy, and when you rejailbreak after upgrading, all old programs you install on cydia keep the same settings from before). Today my phone was unplugged but hardly used as I was working on my car all day. Around 5 I was down to 36% battery life! Think this would be fixed by a clean install or should I just go back to 4.1?
I have the same problem! Right now my stats sit at 64% with 2 hours 18minutes of usage 5hrs 17mins standby. I don't think that is normal! I can just watch the percentages tick off ever few minutes or so. Yuck! How can I fix this? Can I do a restore over itunes? Or do I need to do a full restore?? Or will greenposi0n fix this?? I already bought a couple of apps (from cydia) but I guess I could do with out them if my battery life is so shitty!
