Tethering on 4.2.1
I currently have an iPhone 3GS jailbroken on 4.1 with LineRa1n and I enabled tethering with the CommCenter patch and editing the plist files. If I upgrade to 4.2.1 and JB with Greenpois0n can I do the same thing? It's important to me to be able to tether my WiFi only iPad over Bluetooth. I purchased MyWi, but it drains the battery much faster than bluetooth tethering and it less secure. People can hack the WEP encryption of MyWi pretty quickly. Most people would not be trying to hack free Internet access over Bluetooth when it's not even discoverable.

Yes, for a price
I just updated to the newest version of MyWi and it does have a bluetooth option. You have to purchase an extra licence and be running MyWi OnDemand on both devices.
Using the native tethering and iTether on my iPad is actually a little cleaner and less expensive. With the tethering toggle for SBSettings for my iPhone and the iTether toggle for SBSettings on my iPad it's very simple to connect. In fact, I can leave tethering enabled on my iPhone all day long and it doesn't run down the battery. Then to connect all I have to do is enable iTether through the SBSettings toggle on the iPad. The only time I need to turn off tethering on the iPhone is when I want to sync with my laptop over USB. When you enable the native tethering it enables it for both USB and Bluetooth if Bluetooth is enabled.Devices: iPhone 3GS iOS 5.0.1 (old boot ROM), iPad 2 64GB/3G/4.10.01 iOS 4.3.3, Android and WM phones as well
