Ok, switch that back off then. Make sure it is on automatic and the other setting is enabled and try unplugging the iPhone and then plugging it back in with iTunes open.

It's a little tricky sometimes. The simcard definitely has to be in. Try disabling some settings then re-enabling them, rebooting, unplug etc.

Takes me a few tries sometimes.

Not too sure. I have only done it a few times. Normally I prefer to activate with a ATT sim card so I dont need SAM.

    Hmm i see.

Well the problem is that tje carrier that im using actually should work but just wont. We only had one carrier, tmobile for iphone. But recently we have many more. Like kpn and vodafone.
I am a vodafone user so for some reason it should work but just wont. Could that be the custom rom and the baseband ruining it for me?

If the custom firmware is Hactivated then it will stop the normal sim from working with it.

well i used pwnage tool to create the custom restore rom thingy. but i had to click activate there becouse otherwise its useless. it just says slide for emergency... can't install anything in cydia... nothing since i cant get to the dock with the icons (its called springboard if im right?)

So prehaps the issue is with the rom then? becouse i dont have any sort of battery drainage. can have it on standby for 10 hours and its at like 75% or something with 3 hours use or something like that so i really cant complain in that department
