Shsh blob is required for verification of firmware restore when you are restoring through itunes.
Apple does not want you to downgrade or restore to a firmware when it is not giving out that firmware anymore.
Therefore, in order for you to restore to a firmware when apple has stopped signing, you need to have it saved while apple was signing that firmware.
If you haven't done it yet, it is too late to do it now for 4.0.1 or 4.1 blobs.
If you needed a restore now, you can only restore to the latest 4.2.1 and apple is also giving out this blob.

How can you have 4.0.1 blob and not have 4.1 and 4.2.1 blobs in tu, unless you have the old version of TU. Doesn't make sense.
Download TU from here again and run it , plug iphone in and click save shsh.

No worries, everything is good. Now it means you can restore to any firmware with the shsh blobs you have.
Just start tss server and run itunes : shift + restore to your intended firmware.
What baseband do you have ?
Do you need unlock ?Last edited by iYeow; 02-03-2011 at 04:29 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost
