What made the 4.2.1 un-jailbreakable?
Hey guys!
I'm really interested in this topic, how come all versions up to 4.2.1 were cracked really quick and yet we still haven't got a 4.2.1 JB??
What changed?
What did Apple implement that made it so hard?
Anybody know?
I know they do have an exploit and waiting for 4.3, but still, it seems like finding JB for 4.2.1 became very hard. If it weren't they'd just "burn" the expoit now and find a new one in 4.3, right?

Because all devices are still able to have a tethered jailbreak it was not as critical to find, develop and burn another userland exploit just for an untether. As of right now the Dev Team is holding their "Monte" untethered jailbreak for 4.3. Comex is still silently working on exploiting userland exploits. Chronic Dev has a green poison untethered update that is in final development. When 4.3 drops options will open back up.
