Smile Resetting and restoring to 4.1

    I need an answer:

I HAVE an iphone 4 on f/w 4.1 and is j/b via greenpoison

currently my dialpad isn't working and that applies to both on the dialer and the calculator

when any number is pressed, i hear a long tone, no number is displayed what is pressed then a black screen followed by the homescreen.

i thought maybe it would be ideal for me to pkgbackup my stuff via iTunes

then erase and reset my settings to the original iphone setup

    now..

if ever i do that.. will it take me back to the fresh out of the box and the screen with USB connector and planet earth.. or will it just default to the original iphone homescreen that we're all familiar with.

what i wanna do is just rejailbreak via greenpoison to 4.1 and sync back and restore my stuff back to the phone just to avoid upgrading to 4.2.1

    is that possible?

or is there better way to avoid all these steps altogether..

ANY ASSIST WOULD BE IDEAL.. THX!

You need a restore, you can only restore to 4.1 if you have the required blob saved, otherwise, your restore will be 4.2.1
