Hey guys I was wandering, if I downgrade my iPhone 4 (4.2.1) to (4.0.1) is there a way to keep most of the same settings and "stuff" ( like apps, contacts, etc.). I would like to jailbreak it using the jailbreakme.com website.
Ok, so you can downgrade with the help of tiny umbrella. You will not be able to use your backup from itunes though on a lower firmware. I would suggest sync your contacts and info to your computer and then manually sync them back. You can also extract stuff like app data from your backup manually with iphone backup extractor or juicephone.
Ok so I figured out my computer was the problem. It like froze and shut off and now the Internet doesn't work on it but I restored my iPhone on another computer. So now all I need to do is figure out how to recover all my stuff from my laptop. It still turns on but the Internet doesn't work.
