Default How do this lot do it/upgrading carrie settings

2 things - i found this company online - http://www.iphoneunlock.co/ offering to unlock your iphone to 4.2.1 without the need to a tethered reboot through redsnow etc. How do they do it and how come it isn't available on somewhere like iclarified yet?
I mailed them personally asking if it'd still need a tethered reboot and was it a problem the fact i was on a 6.15 baseband and they assured me it was fully untethered and 6.15 was not a problem.

Also, everytime i sync with itunes i'm asked whether i want to update carrier settings - should i/can i do this safely, even though my phone is jailbroken?

    thanks!

They are thieves don't trust. They steal the Devs work and repackage it. They don't have anything because the Devs don't. Stay far far away from them.

Will do, i was just wondering how they can say its untethered but then if it turns out to not be untethered, thats a complete farse.
Mine is JB'ed on 4.2.1 and currently getting on ok with tethered boot although a fix would be lovely sometime soon!

Yea they just have whatever any of the devs have because they just take and repackage it. If you buy it they will tell you that they are not done with untether yet but will have it shortly. Then a day or so after a team releases an untether jb they will all the sudden say they now have it.
