jailbreaking help

sorry, first post, dont know if this is where it belongs but here it is anyway.

im using a 1st gen ipod touch 3.1.3 (not MC model which i understand doesnt work on that)

the jailbreak itself went fine, cydia installed, appsync 3.1 installed no problem, but when i go to install "**********" it tells me that i need appsync which i have.

i tried downloading a free app in the app store, restarting the ipod and everything, hours of searching site after site and couldnt find any answers.

if anyone can help, that would be great
