BRICK 3gs 4.2.1 PIECE OF SH!T BRICK
so i got a new 3gs from the apple store two days ago, ran redsnow and successfully jailbroke it. However because i did not have an att sim card, i tried to hacktivate it (like an impatient n00b). resulting in a 1015 restore error. Then i tried to run redsnow again and now i cant put it back in dfu mode, and it wont even power on for that matter.
any suggestions as to how i should proceed towards an unlock?Last edited by kingbobo100; 01-28-2011 at 04:29 PM.

Hactivating wouldnt cause you to get a 1015 error. I am guessing you updated to the iPad baseband?

Ok, so after doing that why did you try and restore?

Lol now you need a custom firmware to restore your iPhone everytime and you just voided ur warranty get a custom 4.2.1 firmware and restore and you will have to do a teathered boot I would say with redsn0w everytime you turn your device off

That doesnt make any sense. You only get 1015 error when you are restoring.
In any case since you updated to the iPad baseband you can see here for your options: [How To] Fix 1015 error after updating to iPad baseband and trying to restore
