Default Upgrading a jailbroken iPad 3.2

    Hi there,

As the title says, I have a jailbroken iPad on 3.2 and am wanting to upgrade to 4.2.1; obviously still jailbroken.

My question is, is there a jailbreak upgrade process which googling and searching this forum hasn't revealed? Or do I just upgrade and then jailbreak again?

Thanks a lot, I'm a total n00b to the scene.

There is no jailbreak upgrade. You can restore to 4.2.1 and jailbreak it with redsn0w 0.9.6RC8 but it will be tethered.

    Thanks for the reply!

So, is this no good to me? Jailbreak iOS 4.2.1 Untethered iPhone 4, 3GS, iPad, iPod touch with Redsn0w 0.9.7 [How to Guide] | Redmond Pie

I don't have SHSH blobs saved for iOS 4.2 Beta 3, and I'm assuming these aren't downloadable as they're generated and hence unique, by your own device?

    Thanks!

That redsnow will not work for you since you dont have the required SHSH. The only option for you is what Yeow said before using redsnow 0.9.6rc8 for a tethered jailbreak.

I've just realised it's actually 3.2.2... does that make any difference? If not, I'm about to take the plunge.
