Comex jailbreak for 4.2.1?

Does anyone know when an untethered jailbreak is going to be available from comex? I'm desperate to jb but I can't get my head around how you use redsn0w to do the job so I think it's best to wait.

Haven't heard any recent news on the comex one. Greenpoison is being updated to untether, but like Patato22 said they may be waiting for 4.3.

What we are trying to tell you is that THERE IS NOT AN UNTETHERED JAILBREAK FOR THE IPHONE 4.2.1 AT THIS MOMENT. Unless you have 4.2b3 SHSH blobs (impossible to get now) and a Mac.

If you do not have those, you can get a tethered jailbreak, which means you can't reset your device.

Well I heard some other threads saying anytime this week but best to check back here at mmi and/or at greenpois0n.com to see when its released. I know that feeling of waiting though, untethered isnt all that bad though once you get everything set up the way you want its not all that bad but ofcourse everyone prefers untethered.

I heard that too. But honestly...it is smarter to wait until 4.3, or possibly even the iPhone 5, unless, of course they find another exploit

And I had a tethered jailbreak the first day I got the phone. Then i downloaded a cydia app that force restarted my iPhone. Then lost everything.

So I gave up on tethered, and am playing the waiting game.

How did you lose everything? Did the app require the phone to reboot? \

Yes personally if I was waiting for an untethered jb I would just wait until 4.3 and the jb that is supposed to follow shortly after.

My understanding is that 4.3 will be released with the verizon iphone.

Just downloaded it and found out straight away that I have the new bootrom.thanx again guys.I'll just play the waiting game like everyone else.

I have a tethered jailbreak too and when I just setting up the phone I had to reboot for several cydia purchases, but I just used pwnagetool to reboot tethered. (I think it's pwnage anyway)

Yes, it sucks that you can't turn off your phone when you are away from home, but airplane mode is a pretty good substitute for that.

Also, if you have a new iPhone 4, at least do a tethered jailbreak once, so cydia has the blobs. Who knows if they will be invaluable in the future. As long as I have a charger close to hand, I'm golden. I have one in my truck, the wife's van and a little stereo with a dock that charges while at work, so I get to enjoy per page widgets, per page wallpapers, sbsettings, safari download manager, photoslbums+, infiniboard and all the other things that make jailbreaking invaluable.

Comex is an idiot. he has provided nothing but empty promises as to when his jailbreak will come out. I wish someone else would come up with a jailbreak so we can all flip off Comex.

Wow I hope your not serious with out him we wouldn't see a good portion of the jailbreaks we have now. That kid is a genius when it comes to things like this. Yes he has came up short a few times on his promises but there understandable if you do the research.
