i agree that in the past he has made alot of contributions to the JB community, but recently he has provided alot of empty promises.
I may have be a little harsh, but compared to some of the comments I have seen towards him, I was mild in comparision.
I am unsure what research needs to be done, as u have suggested? It was my understanding that he could have released a JB for 4.2.1 at anytime but chose to wait till the release of the Verizon Iphone. Is this not correct.
Am I the only one who has been waiting for what seems like forever for a new jailbreak. The majority of us are still working off of 4.0.1, which was released when? Exactly.
I am only stating my opinions.

I would say the majority of people are actually on 4.1 right now as that is the sweet spot for jailbreaking. The reason being because of comex, it is his kernel hack that allows all of the 4.1 jailbreaks to be untethered. So comex has directly contributed to the untethered jailbreaks of firmwares: 3.1.3 (spirit), 4.0/4.0.1 (jailbreakme.com), 4.0.2/4.1 (kernel hack which is the part of the same exploit actually used with jailbreakme.com). That is a VERY impressive track record if you ask me so I would say the guy deserves quite a bit of respect for that. He missed one deadline, that was not promised, and is now holding off on releasing for the overall benefit of the entire community because chronic dev have an exploit that has been fixed in 4.3. So it makes sense for them to release and not him. People seem to have very short memories when it comes to jailbreaking. It always seems to go to the "what have you done for me lately" way of thinking.
All that being said, you are entitled to your opinion (as long as you keep it civil), and I am entitled to mine. My opinion is that you are wrong.Last edited by Simon; 02-02-2011 at 06:39 PM.

^ I totally agree Simon, if the OP had done any research he would know what Comex has really done for the J/B community.
Research then post would be my opinion, just meh as I do not appreciate the comments made towards him.
