    Default iP4 backup/restore question -- Clean slate

Hey, quick question if anybody could help.

I've got an iPhone 4, firmware 4.0.2, baseband 1.59.00. According to TinyUmbrella I only have SHSH 4.2.1 and 4.3b2 saved, and I recently jailbroke about a month ago using limera1n and all is well.

I'm looking to do a backup and restore/jailbreak, however according to what I'm seeing, I could only restore to 4.2.1, is that correct? Seems strange that I can't do a backup in iTunes and just restore to my current iOS... What good is the iTunes backup and restore functionality?

Is there any other factory default settings I can reset to help clean up the phone? The only reason I want to do this is because of all the apps/tweaks/themes I've been installing over the past month and would just like a fresh clean slate to start from.

    Thanks for the help!

You are correct, without SHSH you will be forced to go to 4.2.1. Dont use the erase all media and settings on the phone either, that will leave you in boot loop.
