Upgrading Jailbroken iPhone from 3.0 to 3.1.2(Will I have to Jailbreak it again?)
Hi,
I was wondering is it possible to upgrade the firmware on my iPhone. Currently I have 3.0 firmware(Yeah I know.LoL) The reason being is that I have done a lot of stuff to my iPhone even took the time to customize my own stuff. I was just wondering if I upgrade to 3.1 or 3.1.2 will it clear my Jailbreak and make me have to Jailbreak and do everything over again?
Thanks in Advance.Last edited by Fairchild22; 01-21-2011 at 05:03 PM.

3G, I would say 3.1.3 is best. very easy , shift + restore in iTunes to 3.1.3 and jailbreak with redsnow 0.9.4 but browse to 3.1.2.

The reason why is that I was wanting to install "Bootlace iDroid" on my iPhone and the requirements show that I must have at least 3.1.2 firmware. Have you installed or messed around with Bootlace iDroid?

When you upgrade, you should definitely look into an app called aptbackup from saurik. Search it in Cydia. It backs up a list of your jailbreak apps and when you back up your phone to iTunes, it backs that list up. When you upgrade your firmware, you then restore it to the way it was and rejailbreak. Then download aptbackup again and tell it restore, and it will redownload and install all you apps for you again.
