Default Phone goes into sleep mode while on a call but I can't wake up!

When I'm on the phone, the phone goes into sleep mode, as it should when you out it to your head but I can't get to to allow the phone to show the dial pad, hold, etc. It stays black.

Check your case / screen protector. Do they leave space for the light sensors?

Also if you replaced your glass/digitizer ever, the replacement may or may not have left that space as well.

That sounds like a mobile substrate problem to me. I had this happen to me and it was because it had something wrong with mobile substrate

Any ideas on what to tweak in that area? That's in the sb settings right?

Mobile Substrate is used by a lot of tweaks and apps in cydia. Is there anything you installed recently before this started to happen?

No. What I did was jb the phone again and as I added the cydia apps, tested the phone and it seemed to do it before jb. I'm using 4.0.1

It may be a hardware issue with your proximity sensor then. Try a restore and set it up as new to see if it still does it.

If i setup as new and then restore from a old backup, can it pick up the same issue?

It depends when that issue started.

I have the iPhone 4, JB, when I'm on a call or texting sometimes if my hand goes over the sensor or I put my phone to my head making a call, the screen goes black and the only way I can get the screen back up is to press the power button then press the home. Any ideas
