Cydia Crashing - no ifile or root folder access to do something

Hi guys..

my friends iphone 3gs is jailbroken using balckra1n.. and from today onwards cydia is not loading..it jus shows the loading data message and closes.. i read few posts saying abt deleting some files using ifile or ssh or diskaid etc. The problem is the phone doesnt have ifile or open ssh installed..also diskaid not displaying the root folder for navigating to the location manually.. any help??

Then restoring and rejailbreaking is probably the only option left.

tried jailbreaking again using blackra1n..no luck..

You should probably restore first. If you did, you probably shouldn't be using Blackra1n.

Edit: before restoring you should probably figure out if the device has any SHSHs saved.

i have the ssh saved for the device.. is there any other option other than restoring??? no other way to access the root folder??

Try iFunbox i am not sure if you need open ssh for that but worth a go.

And when you re Jailbroke the phone did you restore from back up as you might of just transferred the problem back. Try set up as a new phone.

Ifunbox is of no help.. Tried most of the file system browsers..& am not restoring Any backup.. Hmm.. Seems like restoring the phone is the only way left.. :-(

small doubt guys.. if i take a backup of my phone vai iTunes.. will it backup all the stuffs in my phone?? like contacts (most imp), sms, music etc?? because when i clicked the backup, it finished in few seconds.. but have few GB stuffs in phone..
